Most "cheap" crutches bought at a drugstore or supermarket will start to rattle after a short period of time and will even break before you notice. Our high quality crutches are reliable and will serve your needs at anytime.- Stability: since you need your crutches as a walk assist or even for full weight bearing, they'd better be as stable as possible. Our high quality crutches provide you with the stability you need to move around different terrains. - Gentler on your hands, elbows and shoulders: our crutches are designed in a way to cause less stress to high pressure points, such as hands, elbows and shoulders. You will feel less pain and on the long-run, it will be better for your joints' health. Please check our product list to see our beautiful line of crutches.
When you think about crutches, most of us will think about underarm. These crutches were really popular in the past and they're still around, specially when someone needs extra affordable crutches, or only needs it for a couple of days.
We don't sell underarm crutches at Crutch Store, and the reason is that Forearm crutches are better for your body in general, since it won't give extra pressure to your arms, shoulders and elbows. Forearm crutches are also more convenient, as they are not as bulky, also it is possible to use your hands while using the crutches.
It's true that Forearm crutches will require more core strength, and that there is a process to learn how to use it, especially for those who have been using underarm for a long time, but the benefits, both long-term and short-term, are worth it!
Ergonomic handgrips are the common round ones, with no difference between left and right hand sides.
Anatomic handgrips are designed to fit differently left and right hands.
We prefer the anatomic ones, as they are gentler on your hands, providing extra support and relief on some pressure points. Some people, however, prefer the ergonomic ones. Whatever works for you!
